The heart with the eye represents "emotional intelligence." She knows exactly what she'd doing to herself, even though it hurts. Each of the eyes on the face represent something, as well: counter-clockwise, from the top left, the star-eye is dazzled, blinded; the closed eye gives the benefit of the doubt, yet simultaneously blinds herself, she does not want to see the "bad" she knows is there; the crying eye laments; the brown eye sees clearly. On her forehead is the tribute to the "third eye": is is red for rage. The green eye on her chest is envy, ill feelings...
I'm not quite satisfied with the hair, it looks totally unrelated to the heart or the skirt! I must become a better colorist X/... also, more interesting backgrounds...
EDIT:: i've made this a print, due to a truly flattering request from don't break my heart, you lovely people, you :3
Absolutely extraordinary. The depth of the detail and the intensity of the intimacy in inviting us to the inner working of the world of this Woman is breathtaking. No hesitancy at all in revealing a painful side of passion that has gone out of fashion. Quite clearly, none among us can accuse this gorified Girl of having become comfortably numb. i like the way you have done the hair and eyelashes, it has a muscular sort of texture that reminds me of an exposed heart or the bare flesh sans skin of the scalp. What more could the world do to her than she does to herself.
i love you. exactly! emotion is definately the driving force behind this drawing! This girl knows exactly what she's doing to herself...i'm so honored by this comment, the time you must have taken to analyze the piece! honestly, this is what totally makes drawing worth it <3
it's not like the background has nothing going on though. I like how this picture has a lot of motion in it, with the hair and the skirt and blood sprays. It looks like it's moving when you look at it for a while. very cool. 8D

i like how her clothes are fused with her body parts. i think the hair fits in fine with the rest of the picture (it looks like muscles.)
